Rotary Peace fellowship program, registration open!

Peace Scholarship for the 2024-2025 academic year is an international opportunity open to students from all over the world. It is a fully funded program aimed at international applicants who are strong advocates for peace and working for its advancement. The Rotary Scholarship is awarded to a maximum of 90 applicants who demonstrate extraordinary leadership and problem-solving skills. Also, this Rotary program aims to motivate students to work as dedicated leaders, thus being able to bring about commendable changes by becoming effective activists for peace. Also, this fully funded scholarship provides them with the best possible methods and techniques to become powerful ambassadors of peace, highly influential people and effective professionals.

It is a program created to train future peace leaders who will work for positive change around the world on an international platform. This international scholarship will provide scholars with modern global networking opportunities. Plus, they'll have the chance to work on a global level and build relationships that will help them in the future. Additionally, fellows will work to improve their abilities and skills. For information, Rotary is a worldwide network of 1.4 million leaders and problem solvers who work together to bring about lasting change in themselves, in their communities and in the world. Rotary works to make this world a better place in terms of education, peace, health, etc., and they are committed to their work.

Peace Scholarship is divided into two categories to undoubtedly accommodate the most worthy, deserving and eligible applicants. One is Rotary Scholarships for Masters Program students, and the other is Rotary Fellowships for Professional Development Certificate Program. Both programs focus on peace and development issues. Selected fellows will receive training from top research-informed teachers at top institutes. Students will become part of a diverse learning community where they train professionals.

The program is a mix of online learning, classroom study and social change initiatives. Both programs are created to help students or professionals about to start their careers, also targeting those who have a proven track record with educational opportunities that will advance their careers in peacebuilding and development. 50 scholars are selected for their Master's program, which lasts from 15 months to 2 years and 40 students for their one-year Professional Development Certificate program. Scholars earn a postgraduate degree after completing the program.

Eligibility Criteria for the Rotary Peace Scholarship Program:

  • The candidate must be fluent in English and for this, you can refer to our online learning books here.
  • The candidate must be committed to peace through their academic and professional achievements and their personal or community service records.
  • Students who pursue Master's studies must have obtained their Bachelor's degree.
  • For Masters students, at least three years of relevant experience are required from the date of their most recent degree until the start of the scholarship program.
  • Candidates currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate programs are not eligible.
  • The candidate must have leadership skills for both categories of offers.
  • Candidates applying for the certificate program must have met all of the above requirements. However, the experience required for these candidates is of five years.
  • Candidates applying for the certificate program must be able to explain their action plan.
  • Candidates who have completed a certificate program or a global scholarship must have a gap of three years before applying for a master's degree under this scholarship.
  • Active members of Rotary, employees of the Rotary Club, Rotary International, or other Rotary entities are not eligible.
  • Applicants with disabilities are encouraged to apply.

All documents must be translated into English and require the following:

  • A CV,
  • Academic and/or professional recommendations,
  • Trials,
  • Transcripts from post-secondary colleges and universities attended (Masters program only),
  • English proficiency test results (master program only),
  • And social impact plan (certificate program only)
