METI Japan Internship Program 2024

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants interested in the program should meet the following criteria to be considered by the admissions committee:

  1. Applicants must agree with the purpose of this project and be able to cooperate with the promotion of globalization of Japanese companies, the expansion of overseas business of companies, and the building of networks with overseas universities through internships.
  2. Applicants must hold citizenship of the applicable countries or regions.
  3. Applicants must have proficiency in the Japanese language (JLPT level N3 or higher) or proficiency in English.
  4. Applicants must be, in principle, between 18 to 40 years old as of August 1, 2024.
  5. Applicants who are students must be able to submit a certificate of enrollment from their university or other institution and a letter of recommendation from their university or university faculty, etc.
  6. Applicants who are graduates must be able to submit a certificate of graduation from their previous university and a letter of recommendation from their university faculty or institution, etc.
  7. Applicants must be able to submit certificates of various qualifications (IELTS, TOEIC, TOEFL, CEFR, JLPT, etc.).
  8. Applicants must be able to dedicate themselves exclusively to the training and internship at the company and be able to participate in the internship according to the timetable specified by the program office.
  9. Applicants must meet other specific conditions required by each company.
  10. Applicants must not have participated in this program between FY2016 and FY2023.

Important Dates

The application is conduct online in where all the required documents should be sent before the due date of June 30, 2024.

Interview and matching will take place starting from 16th of June until 31st of July 2024.

Internship will take place Starting from 26th of August 2024.
