Fully funded scholarship opportunities at the National Chiao Tung University (NCTU) in Taiwan, deadline until 30 September for the spring semester 2021.

The NCTU (National Chiao TungUniversity) international scholarship are available for degree seeking international student with excellent academic and research record. Selected students may award monthly stipend or exemptions from tuition fees. The scholarship is available for international students who wish to enroll their bachelor or master or doctoral degree in the NCTU Taiwan.

The maximum duration of each scholarship contract is one year and will be renewed based on the academic performance and research results of the students each semester once there.

Benefits:

  • Undergraduate students: up to NT$21,000 (US$700) per month and/or tuition waiver.
  • Master’s students: up to NT$22,000 (US$733) per month and/or tuition waiver.
  • Doctoral students: up to NT$29,000 (US$966) per month and/or tuition waiver.

APPLICATION PROCEDURES:

  • Applicants should verify if they are eligible to apply as international degree students (Please refer to the link above).
  • Verify whether the department/program being applied to is open to international students.
  • Complete the application form online and upload all required documents to the application system.
  • Verify whether additional information must be submitted to the department of application.
  • Prepare all documents required in the application and ensure that the application form is signed.
  • Upload to the National Chiao Tung University International Degree Student Application System before the application deadline. Applications submitted after the deadline or submitted with incomplete documents shall not be accepted.

Reminders:

  • Regardless of whether the applicant has been admitted or not, all application documents shall not be returned.
  • Applicants shall bear responsibility for their application. Failure to submit all required documents by the application deadline shall affect their admission qualification review.
  • Obtaining the University's admission permit does not guarantee a visa to Taiwan. Taiwan Ministry of Foreign Affairs Bureau Consular Affairs or foreign embassy in the country must issue the visa.

    Create a NCTU account by using your e-mail and then login and follow the entire steps.
  • Study plan (in Chinese or in English)
  • Official graduation certificate
  • Transcript
  • Two letter of recommendation
  • Proof of nationality ( Passport or any related documents that helps to identify the applicants )
  • Proof of English proficiency
  • Proof of Chinese Language proficiency (If applicable)
  • Special document required by the chosen department (if any)
