Kyoto University or Kyodai is a national university in Kyoto, Japan. It is the second oldest university in Japan and one of the former Imperial Universities, a Designated National University, and was selected as a Top Type university of the Top Global University.

Since its foundation, the university has maintained a tradition of respecting and encouraging academic freedom and now, they offers undergraduate program for international students that includes a six-month language preparatory courses followed by a four-year undergraduate course.

What does the scholarship covers?

The scholarship is based on applicant’s merit and the awardee will receive either:

  • A partial or full admission fee
  • A partial or full tuition fee waivers
  • A monthly allowance up to JPY 120.000
  • Accommodation for the first 12 months
