Master’s degree fully funded scholarship with round-trip flight ticket and monthly allowance at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies in Qatar.

The Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, or DI, is an independent institute for learning and research in the fields of social sciences, humanities, public administration and development economics in Doha, Qatar. The goal of the Institute, through its teaching and learning programs and the research activities of its faculty, is to achieve its message of universal engagement by preparing a new generation of academics and researchers who are critical thinkers and proficient in the application of international science principles and current study methodologies, tools, as well as leading experts who can advance human understanding and adapt to the needs of the Arab region, resulting in social, cultural and intellectual growth.
Today, DI is opening the gate to all international student around the world who seek to pursue their master degree in Doha Institute, Quatar through the gradual fully funded scholarship program. Applicants have the choice between the three available departments which are:

  • School of Public Administration & Development Economics
  • School of Social Sciences and Humanities
  • Center for Conflict and Humanitarian Studies

What does the scholarship covers?

There are two types of scholarship available: either it is based on applicant’s merits and academic excellence (Tamim Scholarship), or either based on the applicant’s financial needs (Sanad Scholarship). But in general, both type of scholarship covers:

  • Full tuition Fees
  • Free accommodation in the institute dormitories
  • Monthly stipend
  • Health Insurance
  • Two (2) travel tickets from and to home country, one for arrival and one after graduation.

What are the required documents?

  • Identification document (such as passport, Qatari ID for citizens and residents of Qatar).
  • A graduation certificate or bachelor’s degree certificate. Undergraduate student at their final year can apply and should submit all their obtained transcripts up to the application date.
  • Academic transcript (You may check the official website through the link by the end of this article and also our post on how to convert your score into GPA)
  • Resume (CV).
  • TOEFL or IELTS results or official statement showing that the degree was taught in English as a main language of instruction.
  • Personal Statement.
  • Academic Essay (for applicants to the School of Social Sciences and Humanities).

Good to know:

Since language used by the institute for the lectures are not mentioned, it is not 100% sure that the course are being taught in English. To conclude that, it is better for you to learn or master Arabic languages because it is the main language used in Qatar.
