The Chinese Government Scholarship, is a scholarship established by the Ministry of Education of China. The main purpose of this scholarship is to develop outstanding international talents and also improve the perception of Chinese higher education.
Under the mandate of the Ministry of Education of China, Zhejiang University opens the application for full-time Masters or Doctorate degree programs under the Chinese Government University Program Scholarship 2021.

What does the scholarship cover?

The scholarship lasts between 2 to 4 years following the program choosed and generally covers:

  • Tuition fees;
  • Free accommodation on campus;
  • A monthly allowance
  • Health insurance

What are the documents needed?

  • Depending on the chosen program, applicants must provide a TOEFL certificate for study programs taught in English, or an HSK certificate for study programs in Chinese. Although, like all other study abroad, it is preferable to master the local language used in the country which is therefore Chinese here.
  • A photocopy of the passport
  • Two letters of recommendation provided by the professor or associate professors, in Chinese or English, including the professor's signature, telephone number and e-mail address.
  • Latest diplomas and transcripts
  • The different necessary forms available on the official website.
  • Certificate of non-criminal record.
  • Scholarship applicants are strongly encouraged to provide GRE , NTS-GAT test results.

When and how to apply

Applicants needs to log into the Zhejiang University International Student Application and Admission System through this link, completely download and clearly fill out all the necessary documents. Once done, send the documents in the Registration Platform no later than March 10, 2021 following the instructions on the official website.
