Some information to know to obtain a scholarship abroad. (Part 1)

During this pandemic, many institutions were forced to close and most scholarships cancelled or postponed until next year, 2021. While waiting for everything to return in order, here we offer you some information to help you prepare before applying for the next scholarship season.

👌 • Think about having at least a high school degree or bachelor's degree before applying for a scholarship abroad because:

  • Most valid scholarships are offered as a bachelor's, masters or doctoral program.
  • For those who have a high school's degree and are interested in undergraduate or bachelor’s programs, individuals with a fairly good and superior mention have a lot of chance of being admitted. This is not to say that passable mentions have no values.
  • On the other hand, students with a bachelor's degree who want to take a Master's degree program must have experience and research done during their previous study studies as well as information on their Theses as this is one of the main criteria required.

👌 know how to choose and know your field of study and the countries where you want to pursue them:

  • A good motivation in the chosen field of study is one of the key points that help scholarship issuers understand that the applicant is well interested in continuing their studies.
  • .
  • Another important point is also at the level of interviews, where we must absolutely know about the country that offers the scholarship because questions such as "Why did you choose this country to continue your studies" or "What do you know about this country" are always happenings.

👌 Most importantly, mastering the English language:

  • It must be recognized that the English language is an international language, that is, a language that allows several foreign countries to communicate.
  • It is the main language that will be used to communicate with the university, the institution or the country where we would like to apply. It is also the one used for Interviews and most application files must be generally translated into English.
  • Having a language certificate is the proof that helps scholarship issuers validate that you speak English. For this, it is recommended to have the TOEFL (We will explain this in another part), but simple certificates may suffice. (The admission of documents depends on the issuer of scholarships.)
  • The vocabularies used in cover letters, interview, etc. help scholarship issuers validate our level of English.

And that's it for that first part. In these times of confinement, take advantage to learn the English language, you will not regret it, for this you can use internet which offers a wide variety of courses (Youtube, babe, etc...). Coming soon on Izaranet, we will publish a free English course. Stay connected!
